Terry Eugene Newby

Terry Eugene Newby, born on May 5, 1955, in Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in the presence of loved ones. He was a devoted family man whose presence enriched the lives of many around him.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Renee Newby, with whom he shared a cherished life. He was a proud father to daughters Teresa Broyles and husband Jason, Amanda Neel and husband Joe, and Ashley Winget and husband Billy. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Jody, Payton, Laney, Alexia, and Harlee, who held a special place in Terry's heart.

In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his brothers, Randy Newby, Stewart Newby, and Scott Newby, all of whom shared many fond memories with him. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Odes and Earline (Stewart) Newby, who instilled in him values that shaped the generous and caring man he became.

Beyond his familial devotion, Terry had a passion for the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. He spent countless hours working in his shop, where he found joy and satisfaction. Most importantly, he cherished the time he spent with family, creating lasting bonds and memories that will be carried forward by those he loved.

Funeral services for Terry will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Spavinaw Hills House of Worship. Interment will follow at Spavinaw Strang Cemetery with Jason Broyles, Joe Neel, Billy Winget, Jody Broyles, Eric Newby, and Brian Besser serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
