Thomas Wiley Wilkins, II, 79, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, in Grove, Oklahoma.
Thomas was born on June 2, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Thomas Wilkins and Ruby (French) Wilkins. He proudly served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard, earning the rank of E-6 Staff Sergeant.
On October 18, 1968, Thomas married Dell Ann Wilson, in Benton, Arkansas. They spent many years together before her passing in 2015. He then met his significant other, Helen Johnson with whom he spent the last 10 years.
Thomas spent many years working as a Maintenance Supervisor for the Whitaker State Children's Home. He was also a farmer and truck driver, working for Trucks For You and JB Hunt. He took great pride in everything he did and was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others.
Thomas enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved farm living, gardening, canning, and spending time with his family and friends. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved and creating lasting memories with them.
Thomas is survived by his son, Mark Perkins and wife Andrea of Chouteau, Oklahoma; daughters, Rebecca Wingard and husband Matt of Liberty, Missouri, Tonja Johnson of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Amy Linam of Chouteau, Oklahoma, and Pam Thornton and husband Mike of Inola, Oklahoma; nephew, Eddie Foster; niece, Debi Adams; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruby Wilkins; his beloved wife, Dell Ann Wilkins; one brother, Fred Wiley; and four sisters, Dorothy, Lithe, Flossie, and Beth.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026, in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Andy Pilant officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service in Pryor.
