Thomas “Tommy” William Doyle, 86, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was born on January 17, 1935 in Peggs, Oklahoma; the son of Mose and Barsha (Hobbs) Doyle. Tommy married the love of his life, Wanda Scroggins, on October 8, 1955 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma and they had celebrated 56 years of marriage, until her passing in 2012. Tommy has worked in steel fabrication all of his life, including being a business owner. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially when he was able to go hunting and fishing. He was an avid sports fan; he loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the OU Sooners. Tommy and Wanda were members of the Iron Post Free Holiness Church in Locust Grove. He was a strong man of faith, loved his Lord and his family. He leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish.
Funeral services for Tommy will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Iron Post Free Holiness Church in Locust Grove, Oklahoma with Reverend Kevin Webster and Reverend Travis Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Hogan Cemetery with Gene Barrington, Ronnie Harvey, Vernon Harvey, Larry Scroggins, LaRay Scroggins, and Darren Scroggins serving as casket bearers and numerous nieces and nephews serving as honorary casket bearers. Tommy is survived by his sons, Stan Doyle and wife Valerie of Pryor, Oklahoma and Dewain Doyle and wife Maureen of Pryor, Oklahoma; caregiver, Marcella Hendrix of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; brother, Wayne Doyle and wife Lois of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; sisters, Reba Harvey of Peggs, Oklahoma, and Louise Barrington and husband Dale of Peggs, Oklahoma; grandchildren, John David Weaver and Ethan Doyle; sister in law, Ruby Doyle of Peggs, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Barsha Doyle, wife, Wanda Doyle; sisters, Delphia Harvey and Levada Palmer and husband Dee; brother, Robert Doyle and wife Earlene and Wesley Doyle and brother- in- law, Max Harvey.
