Tommy Walter Lewis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Born on April 30, 1940, in Krebs, Oklahoma, Tommy lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a deep love for his family and the outdoors.
Tommy dedicated his life to working as an electrician, a profession not only showcased his skills but also his commitment to improving the lives of those around him.
In addition to his profession, Tommy served honorably in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1962. His military service instilled in him many values that he carried throughout his life.
A man who cherished the simple joys of life, Tommy loved being outdoors, finding peace and happiness in nature, especially when it came to fishing. He also had a special love for his dog, JIP.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Connie Lewis, of the home; daughters, Kelly Swift and husband Cameron of Atlanta, GA, Penny Burns of Pryor, OK; and Kimberly Wood of Owasso, OK. Tommy’s family grew to include seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Cleo Lewis, and one granddaughter, Alexandra Swift.
