Debra “Debbie” Lee Sperling, 60, of Claremore, passed away in Claremore on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. She was born on June 3, 1959 in Denver, Colorado; the daughter of Lee Ray and Gail Leone (Halligan) Sperling. She enjoyed being outside and gardening; planting flowers, vegetables, and trees. She had beautiful handwriting and loved to draw. Debbie had a special place in her heart for animals. She loved little children as if they were her own. She was an avid OU Sooner and Oklahoma City Thunder fan. She was special to many people and will be so dearly missed.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in the Ross – Mayes Cemetery in Salina, Oklahoma. Debbie is survived by her son, Jeremy Rowe of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; daughter, Jessica Bond and husband Thomas of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; brother, Randy Showalter and wife Jerri of Pryor, Oklahoma, Charles Custer and wife Virginia of Tennessee, and Lee Ray Sperling, Jr. “Junior” and wife Carla of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; sisters, Denise Tate and husband Larry of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Sandy Shipp and husband Bill of Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren, Jaylen Bond, Eli Bond and Hannah Bond; special friend and caregiver, Ray Proctor of Owasso, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Ray Sr. and Eugenia Maye Sperling; biological mother, Gail Allen; sister, Teresa Haskins; and nephew, Andy Haskins.
