Matt married his high school sweetheart, Denise Sexton, after she caught his eye at the Dairy Queen. They had spent nearly 40 years together. Matt and Denise moved to Dallas shortly after getting married and lived there for 9 years before returning to the Tulsa area to raise their girls. Matt’s grandbabies, Henry and Sage, were the light of his life. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooners and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and always looked forward to a good day on the golf course. Matt loved to get together with his family and friends, especially at his family’s reunion every year at Lake Texoma. Matt was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and the best big brother to Mark. He will be so dearly missed and always remembered by his warm smile.
