Joan Sellers

Joan Anna Sellers, 83, of Pryor, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at her home. She was born on March 16, 1937 in Downey, California; the daughter of James Ray “Bill” and Anna Izora (Wilson) Crawford. She graduated from Pryor High School and married Leroy Sellers on January 13, 1956. They were married for 62 years until his passing. Joan worked most of her life as a Sales Associate at Walmart. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed traveling and doing crafts. After retiring, she traveled and called her RV home for several years, until her health issues took over. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Don Bendure officiating. Burial will follow in the Chouteau North Cemetery with Chad Sellers, Tyler Sellers, Ryan Sellers, Wade Hendricks, Larry Penner, and Jose Cantu serving as casket bearers. Joan is survived by her sons, Roger Sellers and wife Lori of Paso Robles, California and Richard Sellers and wife Shawn of Chouteau, Oklahoma; brother, James Crawford and wife Vickey of Pryor, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, James “Bill” and Anna “Izora” Crawford; husband, Leroy Sellers, sisters, Mary and Joyce; nephew, Terry; and grandson, Mathew.
