Joe “Cowboy” Allen Hamilton, 63, of Inola, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born on June 9, 1957 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; the son of Dee and Sally (Lee) Hamilton. Cowboy was a street sweeper for Night Hawk for 18 years. He loved animals; raising horses, donkeys, ducks, and chickens. Cowboy and his wife Sheri have been together the last 11 years and got married in August of 2019. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be so dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2020 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. To leave his family a message, please visit his Tribute Wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service.
Cowboy is survived by his wife, Sheri, of the home; step-sons, Bobby Walker and wife Lizzi of Sikeston, Missouri and Joseph McCord of Inola, Oklahoma; step-daughters, Jessica McCord of Inola, Oklahoma and Megan McCord of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; brothers, Richard Hamilton of Claremore, Oklahoma and Chick Hamilton of Muskogee, Oklahoma; sisters, Maxine Hamilton of Inola, Oklahoma, Marlene Monroe and husband Bill of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Ester Leach and husband Curtis of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and Joanne Miller and husband Junior of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandson, Reed Walker of Sikeston, Missouri; and many other relatives of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings.
