Larry Gene Crawford, 66, of Pryor, passed from this life on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at his home. He was born on July 5, 1955; the son of Bill and Retta (Grigg) Crawford. Larry was an all-state athlete in high school and a quarterback for both Southern Methodist University and Kansas State University. In his later years, he enjoyed playing church league softball, water skiing, snow skiing, racquet ball, and running. On the weekends, Larry enjoyed western swing dancing at the casino. He loved the outdoors, landscaping and maintaining a beautiful lawn. He even generously took care of his neighbors' lawns. He followed in his parent's footsteps owning and operating three clothing retail businesses throughout the state of Kansas. Upon returning to Oklahoma, he and his brother operated the Pryor Creek Sod Farm, and later, transitioned to managing stocks and investments. He was a son, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend who leaves behind many wonderful memories.
Funeral services for Larry will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Larry is survived by his sons, Larry Crawford, Jr., and wife Julie of Owasso, and Billy Crawford and partner Jason Clemons of Tulsa; daughters, Lindsey Crawford and fiancé Jake Krumwiede of Tulsa, and DyAna Bush and husband Adam of Tulsa; brothers, Rodney Crawford and wife Nancy of Emporia, Kansas, and Garry Crawford and wife Shelley of Salina; four grandchildren, Cason Graves, Karlee Graves, Hudson Crawford, Luna Bush; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Retta Crawford, and nephew Drew Crawford.
