Pastor Robert "Bob" Belew

Pastor Robert “Bob” Belew, 67, of, Salina, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 in Pryor. He was born on July 8, 1952 in Muskogee, Oklahoma; the son of Carl R. and Catherine (Stover) Belew. He has lived in the Mayes county area all of his life and graduated from Salina High School in the class of 1970. He married the love of his life, Leah Walden, on April 17, 1972 in Chelsea, Oklahoma. They have celebrated 47 years of marriage. Bob earned his Associate in Theology while preaching at Lakeview Baptist Church, starting in 1986, and has enjoyed his time ministering to the Mayes County area throughout his career. He also was a musician, singer, and songwriter. He enjoyed storytelling and visiting with everyone he came in contact with. Bob looked forward to spending time with his family and cherished each moment he had with them. He was a faithful servant of God, loving husband and father, and caring grandfather who leaves behind many memories who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the Lakeview Baptist Church in Salina with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Bob is survived by his wife, Leah Belew of the home; son, Robert “Bobby” Belew and wife Candice of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughters, Michelle Belew of Salina, Oklahoma and Leah Christine Belew of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Heaven Lee, Savana Monroe, Gabe Lee, Robert “Bobby” Belew, Johnathan Stumpff, Brandon Stumpff, and Tyler Belew; 1 great grandchildren, Layla Shae Joseph. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Catherine Belew.
