Ray Proctor Jr.

Ray Proctor Jr., 61, of Owasso, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 in Owasso, Oklahoma. He was born on January 7, 1959 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Junior Proctor and Mable Nunley. Ray loved sports, especially the OU Sooners and OKC Thunder. Ray’s grandsons, Xander and Abel, held a special place in his heart; he loved spending time with them. He never met a stranger, always traveling and meeting new people. He enjoyed being in his pool league, pro wrestling, classic cars, motorcycles, and collecting hot wheels. If there was a native event going on, Ray was there. He was proud to be Native American. Ray was an all-around humble person who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services for Ray will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Grass Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service. Ray is survived by his son, Jesse Ray Arndt and wife Tamera; niece, Cherlyn Cather; grandsons, Xander and Abel; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Mable; daughter, Jessica Proctor; sisters, Margie Proctor and Patty Proctor-Cobb; and the love of his life, Debbie Sperling.
