Raymond Leyva

Raymond Gene Leyva, 74, of Chouteau, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 in Tulsa. He was born on May 6, 1947 in Denver, Colorado; the son of Gilbert D. and Susie (Sena) Leyva. Ray faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. He married Wanda Hardison on October 6, 1990 and they celebrated 23 years together before her passing in 2014. Ray enjoyed golfing and watching the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies play. He also was a member of the Pryor American Legion. Ray loved his family, and missed his wife each day. He leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ray is survived by his sister-in-law, Raydene Markiewicz and husband Wayne of Chouteau, Oklahoma; nephew, Victor Markiewicz and wife Jess of Chouteau, Oklahoma and Vincent Markiewicz and wife Michelle of Kingsley, Michigan; great nieces, Kyla, Jackie, and Victoria, Genavieve, and Alice; and great nephew, Keagan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Susie Leyva; wife, Wanda Leyva; and his in – laws, Raymond and Genevieve Hardison.
