Ronald Bowden

Ronald Carl Bowden, 78, of Locust Grove, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born on February 15, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa; the son of Frank and Haroldine (Rupe) Pelcman. Ronald grew up in Iowa and at the age of 17, he joined the United States Marine Corps. He faithfully served our country working on AC-130 and A-4 Skyhawk aircraft, and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. After serving, Ronald earned his associate degree and worked as a Hydraulic Mechanic. He was very involved in the VFW and the American Legion. In his pastime, he enjoyed gardening, shooting, traveling, and most of all visiting with family. He helped whoever he could, was always helpful and supportive, and dearly loved his family. Ronald was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa and uncle, who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ronald is survived by his daughters, Veronica Howard and husband James and Yvon Stahl and husband Neil; step-son, Michael Diamond and wife Jackie; sisters, Kay Ila Ontiveros and husband Pete and Helen Topp; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and over a dozen nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Haroldine; wife, Sandra; brothers, Frank and Thomas; and sister, Marsha Cruchelow.
