Obituary for Ronald F. Marturello

Ronald F. Marturello, 82, of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born on August 8, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa; the son of Frank Marturello and Dorothy (Oliver) Marturello. Ronald spent 21 years of his life serving his Country in the United States Army, spending three tours in Vietnam and some time in Germany, he returned to the states spending time in Fort Carson, Colorado and Maryland. Ronald was a patriotic man, and without health problems limiting him, would have spent many more years serving his Country. While in Germany, he enjoyed coaching basketball and softball in the CYA. Ronald taught at Aberdeen Proven Grounds in Maryland as a Chemical Warfare instructor. He married Sheila D. Fielding on July 15, 2000 in Miami, Oklahoma and made a wonderful life together. He was a lifetime member of VFW. He enjoyed going to Casinos near his home and had a passion for dancing, until his health declined. Ronald will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila of the home; his children, Ronald Marturello Jr. of Ogden, UT, Frank Marturello of Des Moines, IA, Christine Marturello of Clovis, NM, Stacey Marturello of Fort Carson, CO, ad Niccole Elkins and husband, William Hayes of Dadeville, AL; step daughter, Deena Sanders of Broken Arrow, OK; brother, Jerry and wife, Sharon Marturello of Des Moines, IA; sisters, Sandra Ford of Oogallala, NE, Dottie Stanger of Kentucky and Judy Marturello; several grand and great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dorothy Marturello; one son, Michael Marturello; one step son, Richard Conwell.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Pryor DAV.
